Who exactly is a Manager? A Manager is an individual who is engaged in supervising, assigning work or otherwise managing a unit or group of people. Being a Good and Successful Manager or Leader is not an easy job to do according to many.
Being a Boss or Manager gives the privilege and the responsibility of managing others. How to be a good Manager? What are the traits of a successful Manager? One major quality we can notice in such people is that they are good motivators, mentors and have excellent leadership qualities. They are those who lead their team in the right direction, giving and taking up slack when needed. They efficiently tap into the talents of their subordinates and bring out the best in them. Good Managers are those who deal openly, shows no favoritism, give credit where it is due and does what is right for the team and the company without compromising ethics. He is an excellent planner, committed and responsible at his work, good negotiators and communicators, excellent problem solvers and has the ability to foresee potential obstacles and have a backup plan to deal with it.
Fortunately I had the privilege of working for some of the best Bosses who had majority of characteristics I have wanted to imitate. If you are a leader or manager and do not want your followers or employees to constantly talk behind your back or complain about you then you should develop or cultivate the Qualities of a Good Manager.
